Supervised Study/Academic Advising
The Personalized Learning Department (PLP) offers Study Skills, a credit-earning elective course.
Special Education
Courses offered by the Special Education Department are open to any student who has met the special education eligibility criteria of New Hampshire, as determined by the student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) team. Students moving into the Dresden School District with a current IEP from another district may enroll in Learning Strategies until an eligibility determination has been made.

504 Plan
Students that require a 504 Plan have a diagnosed temporary or permanent physical or mental impairment that substantially limits a major life activity. 504 plans are developed primarily to provide accommodations for a student, while Special Education plans (IEPs) include accommodations, modifications and specially designed instruction and related services. At Hanover High School, 504 plans play an important role in helping students with disabilities access the classroom and the building while helping them become more independent and better self-advocates. Title I Tutoring
The Title 1 Tutorial program is designed to help new students adjust to the demands of high school by improving their basic academic skills and by supporting/reinforcing classroom instruction. Services are offered to students who qualify based on state-mandated eligibility criteria*. Once enrolled, students meet with a teacher at least two times a week and focus on reading, writing, math, and study skills.
Program Description

The Title One Math Tutoring Program helps qualifying students with the mathematics they need to be successful in Algebra I. Students in seventh, eighth, and ninth grades are chosen by using standardized test scores, grades, and teacher/parent referrals. Students in tenth grade are assessed depending on the number of ninth grade students receiving services.
In addition to services during the school year, we also offer the Title I Summer Step Up Program in mathematics and technology for students entering Algebra I from HHS, RMS and tuition students from outside the District. This will complement the Title I math tutoring program during the school year. This project will prepare our most at-risk, Title I eligible students to meet the competency level expectations at the high school level in mathematics and technology.
