Our Program

Our studios offer students cooperative spaces where creativity and collaboration are encouraged.  As students work with a broad range of materials and processes they also learn the value of experimentation and craftsmanship. Central to our program is the spirit of problem solving and an awareness of the value of multiple solutions and small changes for big impacts.

To meet school requirements all art courses require a minimum of 4 1/2 hours per week. This time is a combination of class time and individual studio time. Individual work in the studio is important to artistic development. Each student enrolled in an art course will keep a personal sketchbook of ideas, drawings, and class notes. Group critiques allow individuals to verbalize their goals and get feedback from their peers. Design must be taken as a prerequisite before taking the other studio courses. Equipment and materials for course work are provided. Materials for independent projects or work outside of class expectations may be purchased by the student.

All classes run every year unless noted as rotating classes.  The following classes rotate:

Fall 2023-Spring 2024 "A" Year:

Printmaking, Photo II
Fall 2024-Spring 2025 "B" Year: Drawing II, Sculpture, Studio Art History
